Introduction Engenious Aerospace Ltd is a Public limited company. Expertise to design and develop Rocket Propulsion
Systems, Sounding Rocket and Launch Vehicle Engines. In JV with defence and private aerospace
establishments in Russian Federation, Ukraine and Argentina. EAL is dedicated to developing crucial
aerodynamically stable unguided category of Rockets (Sounding Rockets) for peaceful civilian missions.
Study of upper atmosphere and Space Research. Involving students in payload construction and launch
mission. Sounding Rockets refers to the rockets which do not orbit. They return back to the Earth with safe
research experiment readings on-board.
Rockets from Engenious provides innovative & low cost space access. Gives platform for space
exploration, innovation. Creates space awareness among civilians. and shaping a most leading industry of
Private commercial space launch industry in India.
Mission M1- Explore and Endeavour are more specific to their missions of meteorological research as well as
education purpose inspiring young minds to the space propulsion / engineering.
Objective Providing a tool to research community to access suborbital space. Making suborbital space exploration
economical, available through regular privately built space access systems.
The sounding rockets are first of its kind thoroughly built in India by private sector. Powered on sugar,
APCP and hybrid propellants which makes them safer, economical to launch. This facility is accessible to
students and all research industries. A series of Rockets M1- Explore, Endeavour and Shivastra-1 with
varied altitudes of 1 km 15km and 100 km respectively , were successfully developed, tested and publicly
demonstrated.
Achievements
3. Sounding Rocket
- “to sound” : to take measurement
(*Payload : Electric and magnetic field measurements, particle detection, Scramjet testing, Re-entry body testing,
Astronomical and solar telescopes, Multiple free-flying payload bodies, Microgravity, Air sampling, etc.,)
Small Launch Vehicle to carry a Payload* to suborbital space for
performing various scientific research activities.
