The location is approximately 100 miles southeast of Lagos and 37 miles west
of Warri. The plant processes approx. 680 million standard cubic feet of natural
gas per day. The customer had planned a Gas Gathering & Compression
Platform and a Non-Associated Gas (NAG) Wellhead Platform facility in the
INTECH was called in to provide automation solution for the above mentioned
project. INTECH’s scope included engineering, design, fabrication, integration,
testing, documentation and supply of a complete integrated & operable
Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS).
Integrated Control & Safety System and High Integrity Pressure Protection
System, for gas processing plant in Angostura, Trinidad & Tobago.
Trinidad and Tobago are islands that are located between the Caribbean Sea and
natural gas, oil and petrochemicals. The customer was setting up new offshore
Protection System (HIPPS) to be installed at GEP HP offshore platform located
off the east coast of Trinidad.
INTECH was asked to provide the complete design, engineering & supply of
PCS, SIS, F&G and HIPPS, integration and start-up of Process Historian, along
with start up and commissioning services for the afore mentioned systems.
Refinery Upgrade Project, Kuwait
270 MBPD.
The customer wanted to upgrade obsolete automation system installed on
multiple applications at the facility. The upgrade had to be done as a hot
cutover job, as some of the applications could not be shutdown.
INTECH was selected as the Main Automation Contractor (MAC) by the
customer to develop and execute a hot cutover procedure. The upgrade was
treatment plant, ship loading and tank farms.

11. Main Automation Contractor for an Early Production Facility, Kurdistan Iraq
The location of the project was Sarong Block which is in the Kurdistan Region
of Iraq. The Sara Tina - 1 exploration well had been drilled and was initially
tested. The customer wanted to place the well on an extended production test
with oil sales. Estimated production from ST-1 was around 4,000 BPD while EPF
was designed for 20,000 BPD.
INTECH was awarded the project to provide turnkey solution for instrumenta-
tion, control and electrical (MCC) for the Early Production Facility (EPF). Project
was extremely fast track. INTECH made all the equipment ready within 5 weeks
and then mobilized a team of about 26 personnel to site to complete site
construction, installation and commissioning. All the logistics of local and expat
resources were taken care by INTECH internally.
Main Automation Contractor for a Central Processing Facility, Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan, a country rich in natural resources, has oil reserves that are
estimated to be 1.635 million bbl/day (2011 est.) and natural gas of about 20.2
billion cubic meter (2011 est.). The customer was expanding its facilities of
Arskum, Kazalkiya, Kumkol regions.
INTECH was called in for Design, Engineering, Supply, Commissioning and Site
and E-building. Additional scope included supply of Tank Radar System and
associated construction work. All construction work including logistics and
local labor resources were managed by INTECH.
Main Automation Contractor for a Containment Barge, Alaska
A part of the Arctic Ocean is formed by the Chukchi Sea. The estimated oil and
gas reserves that come from the US side of Alaska alone are estimated to be 30
billion barrels of oil. The end user required an incident containment barge to be
available for the offshore 2011 drilling program in Alaska to allow rapid deploy-
ment and containment of any spill situation.
INTECH was called in as a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) and system
integrator bringing together the Engineering, Design, Supply, Fabrication and
delivery expertise for supply of PCS, SIS, F&G, LER building e-house and onsite
MCC. Some of the challenges faced by INTECH were; HSE consideration due to
an environment of -40°C, remoteness, tight project timescales, and meeting
customer’s high work standard.

Main Automation Contractor for Wellhead Solutions, Pakistan
The Sawan Gas Field is a located in Sindh, Pakistan. This is a joint venture of
OMV Pakistan, Government Holdings (Private) Limited, PPL, ENI Pakistan and
Moravské naftové doly. There are a total of 15 wells that have been drilled in
Sawan It is one of the largest gas reserves discovered in Pakistan producing
400 MMSCFD of raw gas.
INTECH was asked by the customer for the engineering, supply and design of
Hydraulic Wellhead Control Panel, RTU associated control and safety systems
as well as Shelter, Venturi and Solar Systems for three wellhead sites in the
area. The installation commissioning of the control panels and associated
systems with the shelter were also a part of INTECH’s scope of work.
Upgrade of Subsea Master Control Station, Equatorial Guinea
The Ceiba Field is in Block G off the continental coast of Equatorial Guinea. The
customer is the operator of two adjacent blocks which together encompass an
area of approximately 1 million acres.
INTECH’s project scope included design, engineering, and hardware for the
upgrade to the MCS PLC. Software upgrades and designing of new HMIs,
implementation of new signals and relay logic, documentation of the current
hardware and systems and setting up of the new upgraded hardware were also
included in INTECH’s scope of work.
Main Automation Contractor for Wellhead Solutions, Indonesia
collection stations with an overall production of about 400,000 bpd. The
customer is a major part of the Indonesian oil & gas sector and is an active
member of the community.
INTECH was called in for technical support and services for a large number of
wellhead SCADA systems installed at disparate remote locations. Additional
scope included Engineering, Design, Supply, and Installation & Commissioning
for new SCADA units. The remote locations were connected through
communication over the GSM network.

Optimization and Maintenance services for a FPSO, Nigeria
Agbami FPSO is the world’s largest FPSO operating at the Nigeria’s largest deep
installed base with equipment as old as 15 years to new state of the art
automation systems.
INTECH’s scope includes services for long term health care & maintenance,
training of operators & engineers, startup and commissioning of new
equipment/upgrades including multi-vendor supervision. INTECH has been
proving services on all electrical and control related systems on the FPSO.
I,C &E Optimization and Maintenance services for entire field assets, Angola.
The customer is the operator of two concessions off the west coast of Angola,
north of the Congo River. INTECH has been working with the customer for the
past 10 years to provide operations and maintenance services for the
instrumentation, control and electrical automation systems installed at Takula,
Sanha condensate, Molongo, Area-B, BBLT and Molongo terminal facilities of
the customer.
INTECH’s was called in to provide maintenance support for different operating
facilities (Ranging from Well Jackets, Gathering Stations, Storage, Export &
systems. INTECH was also responsible for planning and co-ordination with the
operations team for a design review of major capital projects and their
commissioning.
Tengiz is located in north-western Kazakhstan's low-lying wetlands. It covers an
area of about 2,500 km long the northeast shores of the Caspian Sea. The
average oil production at the location is estimated to be about 400,000 BPD.
INTECH’s was awarded an optimization and maintenance contract which
included reverse engineering the systems to develop detailed documentation
for the F&G, ESD and PLC systems. During the project support was provided on
multi-vendoor systems through a team of 18 operations and maintenance
engineers deployed on site to meet the expectations of the customer
