5. Lee’s kitchen resume
Prone to breaking glasses and plates
Once broke a mortar with a pestle
Detaches handles of mugs and pots without knowing it
Countless burns
Scorched body hair of a housemate when working with the oven
Caused havoc in TriNoma by dropping a newly bought bottle of balsamic vinegar
6. Lee could be an
entertaining
contestant in
Hell’s Kitchen
7. So why did Lee decide to work
in the kitchen for Tech?
11. Balsamic vinegar pearls
But with an additional
component, such as agar agar,
you can give the liquid a
whole new texture and
appearance.
12. To make the pearls, bring the balsamic
vinegar and gulaman powder to a boil.
(Lee was not sure if the powder was the
same as agar agar)
Collect the mixture through a syringe
and slowly pump it drop by drop into a
glass of cold plive oil. The balsamic
vinegar will begin to shape.
13. The pearls look good! Lee couldn’t have been
more proud of himself, especially on his first
tries.
19. Fruit spaghetti
Do fruits bore you?
Do their textures bother you?
Fear not! With agar agar, you
can make your fruits more
playful. Even kids will love
them!
20. First trial was an apple-mango blend. It looks
green because I accidentally under ripe fruits.
21. To make the spaghetti, collect the mixture in a
syringe and pipe it through a tube to cool in iced
water. Lee didn’t follow instructions, as usual.
22. Blended a can of fruit cocktail for a dominatly
orange blend. Followed the instructions this time.
Once you pipe the tube you get:
23. WOW! Amazing! Looks
like spaghetti.
Until it fell into the sink
before he got to taste. Lee
still is clumsy.
24. After sometime, Lee thought
of a cool idea (or at least, it
was cool in his mind).
25. Why not make a reversed
spaghetti?
Sauce becomes the pasta (thru
gellification)
Pasta becomes the sauce
29. A weird combination of semi-solid tomato sauce
and a clumpy white sauce. Not for the
fainthearted.
30. After a week of reflection about whether or not he
should really be a cook, he tried to make some
more fruit spaghetti. These are the best ones yet.
31. These are firm, colorful and flavorful enough for
free tastes!
