This presentation shows the design process behind Gurby, a unique drawstring bag with four movable divisions to accommodate your sporting needs.
Includes the pros and cons of a drawstring bag compared with other bags, the history of drawstrings, the inspiration behind the design, the components and features of the bag, as well as the possible points for improvement.
I hope that you would like the design process behind this and be inspired to create your own works of art. Enjoy!
Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. White Wonder by Eva Tschopp
A tale about our culture around the use of fertilizers and pesticides visiting small farms around Ahmedabad in Matar and Shilaj.
3. Fending off the world’s deadliest animal
I wanted to create something innovative and useful on-the-
go against the world’s deadliest creature-- The Mosquito.
And so with this passion project I devised
a way to utilize easily accessible materials to
create a makeshift insect zapper capable of
zapping.
5. My objective was…..
● To create a more compact zapper
● Has an easily rollable wire mesh
● Easy to use and handle
● Better portability
6. Acquiring a commercial insect zapper (racket)
DANGER LEVEL
I bought this insect zapper
near my home at an AllHome
Department store, with
pricing at
P199
7. Dissecting electrical components from Zapper
DANGER LEVEL
With the help of Sir Jason
Alcarez, I was able to dissect
the electric components
safely
The electrical components
have
● 500V Output
● Built LED light
● Rechargeable power
source
● Double (-) channel
Danger Factor:
As mentioned, this
thing is 500V :(
8. Creating coiled electricity channels
DANGER LEVEL
The idea was to create
straight paths for the
electricity to channel
through, thus I coiled wires
around sturdy bbq sticks.
Danger Factor: Alambre is
pointy and caused minor
scratches especially when
coiling.
9. Creating the wire mesh
DANGER LEVEL
Danger Factor:
Poking holes through
the cloth was a little
tricky…. Ended up
poking my fingers a
few times.
Alternating positive and
negative channels on ends,
gaps were a bit uneven for a
lack of care in creation.
10. Creating compact zapper case
DANGER LEVEL
Danger Factor:
Not necessarily a
dangerous task if one
is experienced with
laser cutting already.
11. Adding handles onto zapper case
DANGER LEVELDanger Factor:
The task wasn’t
dangerous to say the
least..
12. Mounting electric components to zapper case
DANGER LEVEL
Danger Factor:
With a small space to handle the
exposed wires, I always had to
make sure the component was
off and immediately mask the
wires with electrical tape.
Electrical component mounted
on, with hole for switch at the
side. Electrical tape was used to
ensure safer handling
13. Connecting the wire mesh to electrical component
DANGER LEVEL
Danger Factor:
If this thing was on while you
tried to connect the mesh,
things won’t look pretty for you.
17. Feedback- Mr. Ian Perez (Block A- Tech Y)
● “Maayos naman pagkagawa pero mukhang
delikado nga lang”
● “Kung ako, siguro baygon nalang or
something pero kung mage-exercise ako,
gagamitin ko to.”
18. Feedback- Mr. Leonard Pena (Block D- Tech Y )
● “Gusto ko yung fact na parang accordion
siya.”
● “Cool naman pero baka bigla lang ako
makuryente and ewan haha”
● “Pwede natin to gamitin sa room if ever”
● “Creative yung design”
19. Feedback - Mr. Bon Leif Amalla (Block G)
● “I think barbeque sticks was really smart,
buut it’s still pretty pointy on the ends and
there’s exposed wire”
● “Parang awkward yung paglagay ng hooks
sa dulo, although, functional naman siya so I
guess it’s good.”
● “Yeah I’d buy it if I were to use it during
hiking”
22. Things I should improve on
● SAFETY
● Craftsmanship of wires, cloth, casing, hooks.
● Optimization of space inside casing
● Containing exposed wires.
Learning…..
I was very happy with the journey I’ve had with my zapper overall.
There are so many things I’ve been taught to improve on (ehem
safety), but it came out looking like what I had in mind. It is functional
but it calls for many areas of improvement for the design process.I
aim in future creation of projects, I will take into mind these things. :)
