I tried my hand at latte art for Alpine Valley Pure Service's blog. It didn't work like we hoped, but there is a happy ending to this epic fail.

A True Story

2. We attempted to create barista level latte art. We
gathered the supplies, got a fancy new cup, and then set
to work.
The following is a sad but true story.

11. After four attempts to create a heart in latte foam, we
ran out of patience and milk. We had just enough to
try one more.
It’s time for something different.

13. To recreate the much simpler ring of hearts, brew your espresso and
froth your milk. Pour the steamed milk into the espresso. Carefully
dollap five small froths in a circle around the edge of your cup. Take
the end of your spoon and drag it through the froth bubbles in a
circle.
