This document outlines Anshika Yadav's Master's thesis on assessing the incidence and awareness of cervical cancer among women visiting the gynecology outpatient department of Shyam Shah Medical College in Rewa, India. The objectives are to estimate cervical pre-cancer cases using pap smear tests and to assess awareness of cervical cancer symptoms, risk factors, and screening tests. The methodology will involve administering pap smear tests and surveying women on their awareness. The thesis will be supervised by Dr. Priyanka Singh and Dr. Arpita Awasthi.

• Cervical cancer is the third most common
cancer women world wide.
• 12℅ of all cancer in women. About a million
new cases each year.
• More than 1/4 million death each year.
Cervical cancer is a disease that develop
quite slowly and begins with precancerous
conditions.

smear test.

A pap smear test, also called a pap test is a screening procedure
for cervical cancer. It test for the presence of precancerous or
cancers cells on your cervix.
