About CBIT
CBIT is one of the premier Engineering Institutes in India,
pioneer in Telangana State, which is at idyllic
surroundings of Gandipet Lake, Hyderabad. It was
establish in the year 1979 and offers twelve UG and Ten
PG programs. The Institute has been accredited by
NAAC-UGC with ‘A’ Grade and the UG/PG programs are
accredited by NBA. The UGC has granted Autonomous
Status from the Academic Year 2013-14 onwards.
Research Projects from Private and Public Sector
Industries in Engineering/Management and Consultancy,
enabled the Institute to be ranked No. 1 amongst the Self-
Financed Private Engineering Colleges in both the Telugu
Speaking State.
About the ECE Department
The Department of ECE was established in the year 1979
along with the inception of the institution. It offers an UG
and two PG programs, and all the programs are accredited.
The Department is recognized as “Research Centre" by
Osmania University for pursuing doctoral studies. An

2. Centre equipped with IRNSS receivers sponsored by
SAC-ISRO (under MoU) is established. The
Department has MoU’s with reputed organizations.
Department/Institute has been recognized as Nodal
Centre under outreach program of Indian Institute of
Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Dehradun.
About the EEE Department
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department
of the institute started functioning from the year
1994. The department offers one UG Program (B.
Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
with 6 Year NBA Accreditation and One PG
Program (M. Tech in Power Systems and Power
Electronics) with a sanctioned student’s strength of
120, and 18 per year respectively. At present, the
department is supervising 33 Ph.D. scholars. It has
well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty
and committed supporting staff. The department
has state-of-the-art research facilities to support
our academic programs and research.
Undergraduate students are encouraged to
participate in various research projects. Apart from
giving their best in academics, the students of the
department are highly enthusiastic & actively
participate in various co-curricular & extra-
curricular activities. The laboratories of the
department are well equipped with advanced and
sophisticated instruments, to fully satisfy the
training needs of the students and research and
consultancy needs of the department as well
