Assertive Sentences
• It is also known as declarative sentence
or statements. It is ended by full stop (.).
For Example
• Avani is the best dancer in our class.
• Ravita is my cousin sister.
• Once upon a time there was a king.

Interrogative Sentences
• These sentences ask question. These are ended
by question mark (?)
For example –
• Is that an ostrich ?
• How many books did you borrow from the
library this week ?
• When dose your father come back to home ?

Imperative Sentences
• These sentences give order/commands, make request or give advice. These are
ended by (.)
For example –
• Sit down. (Command)
• Please pass me that book. (Request)
• Wear your pearl earrings with that dress. (Advice)

• These sentences express strong or sudden feeling. These are ended by
