My role involving direct interaction with buyers (internal) and coordinating with multiple in-house departments comprises of product department (in-house
buyers), purchasing department, finance, designers, technical team and production line (XM manufacturer).

·Preparing & presenting quotation, new collection details, concept by collection (by season), photo shoot samples to buyer.

·Preparing materials requirement sheets for purchasing to complete procurement according to production schedule.
·Ensuring quality of received main material par to required criteria (both development samples & bulk materials).
·Attending supplier’s visit- for new techniques applied on materials, new designs & inspiration for coming collections.
·Checking through materials arrival reports & IQC report (incoming quality control)- clear materials to finish in controlling warehouse

·Sourcing new materials, compiling design references, concept discussion & finalize designs, selecting materials with designer based on buyers’
requirements.
·Obtaining & checking usage of materials from designer in preparing costing (to quote buyers).
·Lectra drawing (Prima Vision V6R1C7)- tools for drawing & draping in providing visuals with selected materials to present to buyers and design
team.
·Preparing product information (materials and prototype codes, delivery date, size & quantity loaded, confirmed article codes) to designer upon
receiving of Purchase Order together with photo shoot samples list.
·Follow through new development (mold cups, new base, new materials/ proposal) & fitting session (of new items and development pieces) and
comment on necessary improvements.

·Discussion on production capacity allocation based on buyer’s requirements of the year & summarize list of delivery dates to buyer.
·Preparing barcodes EAN number for production price tags printing purposes and for logistic department in supporting retail system.
·Conducting thread selection, products viewing meeting (to brief production team on coming/new collections of the season) and shipment
samples fitting session (viewed by buyer and production team before actual bulk production).
·Check through production schedule, mini marker (pre-production layout of patterns on selected materials) and lace closing reports (production
usage vs. designer’s usage) to minimize wastages.
·Upkeeping sub & main materials inventory level of warehouse.
·Email correspondences & solving hiccups of production line.

A Malaysian icon, an Asian product, an international appeal.
Home grown brand started off with beautiful and contemporary hand drawn batik pieces as medium for both wearable art and masterpiece to adorn interior.
Expanding creativity and innovative via more channels such as furnishing, batik prints inspired chinaware, custom made corporate uniforms, bespoke
menswear, premiums, accessories (bags) and bringing up some promising local artists of different field through CSR programs.

·Oversee duties of retail staffs and having staffs meeting at least once a month to seek improvements from time to time and guiding, building them
up to become an important asset to company as a team
·To work closely with corporate communications department on marketing, promotions, advertisements and sales strategies of Jendela KL.
·Identify potential opportunities in global market during overseas’ trade shows
·To resemble Jendela items in matching presentation as gift ideas to propose to customers (festive, birthdays, wedding door gifts…)
·Understanding & assisting customers on styling ideas, required looks & budget- exploring with tailors completing requested orders on time.
·Determining prices for all products. Fully in-charge of customer/ models fitting session and observe whichever part can be improved to achieve
perfect fit.
7. Design related ·Brainstorm, conceptualize and turning ideas into real things within given directions, timeline & resources- involving selection of silhouettes &
fabrications, dealing with tailors, styling for ad campaign.
·Calculation on usage of materials, quantity to produce, negotiating prices and delivery dates with suppliers, work on costing
·Study and improving the cutting/pattern/designs of regular customers with tailors
·Discuss with batik suppliers on motifs, colors, special orders, stocks for the month, customers’ likeness)
·Ensuring of upkeep of stocks and the whole outlook of the shop (+window display, arrangement of different retail items in order to gain
different attractions, way of folding, music and etc)
·Involving in hotels, corporate uniform projects (designing, sourcing materials, matching the suitable suppliers, working within budgets and
time frame required).
·Design and execute month to month visual merchandising of entire retail space and exhibition area (occasionally).
·Procurement on stocks (ties, shawls, raw materials- plain natural fiber fabrics for batik and etc) and keep tracking on delivery date.
