Sampling is a very important process. It
determines the approval of future orders
from buyers and fetches business for a
product manufacturing company.
Sampling is one of the key elements of
the pre – production processes in a home
textile industry. Before a manufacturer
produces bulk orders, a prior sampling of
styles is done to get approvals and
jumpstart the fabrication of products.

50. Learning Experience
In my 16 weeks graduation project, at the starting of my graduation project, I was assisting the designing team, who was working for buyers at that time I was working on my
collection as well as I was assisting her in developing of the buyer’s collection. This helped me later while I was developing my collection, it was easy for me to understand
buyer’s choice and the design concept of the company as well as the international buyer. The main thing I learnt over there is color combination, those learning was very
useful for me in development of my collection. Assisting in the Product Development team, my work was to arrange the fabrics and to get develop the samples which was
designed on the paper by me. This work helped me to learn the production process and design development. After buyer’s meeting got over, I was assisting the senior
merchandiser in the developing the samples for the buyer. Buyer sent the specification sheet of the sample and merchandiser get developed the samples according to
specification sheet.
Graduation project is the last project of my college project, in which I have put all my knowledge and skills whatever I learnt in the NIFT. It was a very good experience to
work under the company circumstances and fulfill their design requirement. It was totally different experience from other project. In this project I was designing the
collection for international buyer, whose design requirement and color combination was totally different form the domestic market. Working in Narayan Industries best thing
I learnt time management for work, at time I was working on my collection and I was helping in the product development team. I was getting developed my samples and
also I was assisting senior merchandiser in their work. In total it was very nice moment of working in the Narayan Industries, working individual and working in a team is a
different experience. I hope all the knowledge what I got form this project and form NIFT will help me to make my future bright and successful.
