Windows 10 build 10049 and 10041 installations can take a very long time or get stuck due to unnecessary language pack downloads. Disconnecting the computer from the internet during installation prevents these downloads and significantly speeds up the process. Alternatively, uninstalling unused language packs after installation or restarting the computer partway through a stalled update can also help fix slow installation issues.
2. Installation for Windows 10 build 10041 and
10049 is easy, but difficulty may occur during
the installation. The latest windows 10 use to
take insanely very long time for the process of
installation, much longer in comparison to
previous build windows. It’s even been seen to
run for hours, or whole night or even days still
the installation is not complete.
Sometimes even the updating process appears
to be hanged or stopped around 23% progress
with setting up at 78%, 30% with Applying PC
setting at 0%, or 70% with Applying PC setting
at 88%.
3. The upgrading is sometimes blocked due to insufficient disk
space. Windows Update signifies that updates are available in
the name of fbl-impressive 10049 Professional or
fbl_impressive 10041 Professional, but still errors are
displayed as follows:
“Updates are available but we temporarily need 0.00 MB of
space to install. Remove something that you don’t need right
now and we’ll try again late”.
And at this point of time user simply opens the Storage Sense
to learn what’s occupying the space actually.

4. If you upgrade the Windows 10 Build 10049 via Windows
Update, the case will turn worse. Because Microsoft only
provides Windows 10 Build ISO Images through official site,
so essentially you can’t perform clean install to fix the issues.
As per Microsoft, downloading for all setup languages is
caused by a Bug during the process of installation of windows
10 build 10041 & 10049; space on the disk filled up quickly
beyond the capacity, especially on the devices with limited
disk space for example those virtual machines and tablets.
The above discussed Bug is cause behind such issues and as
a result it creates few of folders that are unexpected
appearing on the Desktop or File Explorer.
5. Solution is to remove the unnecessary & accidental
downloaded language packs. But this solution can’t be
applied everywhere such as place where it’s showing low disk
space as error.
Or, you’ve successfully installed the update and you want to
reclaim the disk space from the unused language packs after
successful installation of latest build of Windows 10.

6. Note: If you can’t install build 10049, this will not help.
Scroll down to the “Actual Fix” below for the resolution.
Open a Command Prompt as an Administrator.
Bring up the user interface for uninstalling language
packs by typing the following command and press Enter:
lpksetup/u
Select the language that you want to uninstall, & then
follow the instructions.
7. If your Windows 10 doesn’t have any other language packs
installed, yet the installation of build 10041 and 10049
doesn’t complete, even if you wait for hours. Then it means
that the problem isn’t fixed yet, hence try the alternative
method as shown below;
If the installation is taking too much time, then just power off
and shutdown the PC. When Windows 10 boots up again, it
will automatically rollback to build 10041, discarding the
failed new build installation & it’ll give an error which causes
no harm.

8. Issue that’s actually causing the installation to be so long may be
that the language packs are being downloaded during the
upgrade process. For this, there is another effective solution, as
shown below;
“In Windows Update of Windows 10, initiate the upgrade to latest
build of Windows 10 (i.e. fbl_impressive 10049 Professional). As
soon as the update is downloaded, i.e. when Windows Update is
starting that, it’s preparing to install updates, disconnect the
computer from Internet.”
9. PC must be disconnected from Internet while doing the
installation.
This can be done by plugging out the network cable, switch
off the Wi-Fi (must not forget the Wi-Fi network or to power
off the router and access point, else Windows may connect to
it while updating).
Disable the network adapter in Network Neighborhood of
Control-Panel, & for Windows 10 in virtual machine
disconnect the network adapter from host.

10. Let the Windows 10 continue to upgrade, and it will take
pretty short time to complete the installation of latest build.
You can re-connect the computer to Internet once the
update is done and Windows 10 re-boots up to desktop.
