17. General guidelines to update the price
Before you update the price, let’s understand :
1- What is MSP (Maximum Selling Price)?
Maximum Selling Price or MSP is defined as the maximum price at which a particular product can be sold on
Paytm Mall. This is a pre-calculated values & is decided based on the pricing behavior of the product in the last
30-90 days. Product’s selling price can never be greater than MSP or the MRP.
2- What is MOP (Minimum Operating Price)?
Minimum Operating Price or MOP is defined as the minimum price at which a particular product can be sold on
Paytm Mall. This is a pre-calculated values & is decided based on the pricing behavior of the product in the last
30-90 days. Product’s selling price can never be lesser than MOP.
3- Is there any limit on increasing/decreasing the selling price?
Yes, you can’t increase or decrease the price beyond a pre- defined maximum variance. It means you may
increase/decrease the price of a product within a certain set range defined at category level. Also, price can
only be updated by certain number of times within 24 hours.
