• I come from a Hispanic heritage.
• I have lived in Minnesota for 12 yrs.

• I enjoy playing basketball.

• Chinese women have no accepted role since some are CEO’s and
government officials while others have different lifestyles.
• In china, women are now beginning to examine their role within society, the
economy and politics.

7. CURRENT STATUS OF CHINESE
WOMEN
• Communists in China fear Ms. Liu, an individual demanding rights in a one-party
state. Ms. Liu says she is being followed by the government, and was
beaten to the ground by unidentified men after getting of a bus in Xinyu.
• Of female “high-level talents” in 2010, 81 percent had college degrees, 7
percentage points more than men, but 80.5 percent said men held the
senior jobs at their workplace.
