V-Kid Knowledge Boost (VKKB) Program: Gifting of Education to V-kids PARD, in its pursuit to promote educational standards through enhancement of competitive spirit among early school going children in rural areas (we call them V-kids who are often denied with the equal opportunities in their up-bringing, study environment and exposure to the competitive world), has been pioneering “V-kid Knowledge Boost (VKKB)” program. 2. VKKB PROGRAM - PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
 Develop V-kids in rural areas who are often denied with the equal opportunities in their
upbringing, study environment and exposure to the competitive world.
 Identify and extend educational assistance to children studying in government run primary
schools (V-kids) who have the potential to succeed in higher education.
 Provide VKKB Final winners with six (6) years scholarships during entire high school studies
(5th to 10th Class); continue to extend financial and career assistance until their higher education
on need basis.
 Provide mentoring support to develop the V-kids in all aspect of life fostering competitive spirit.
 Promote educational values through wider participation of Parents, Local Communities,
Donors and School Administration in the development of V-kids.

4. VKKB PROGRAM (2014-19)– HIGHLIGHTS
• 3rd VKKB (2014-19) Program matching the timeline of Children Day on 14th November 2014 at Devarapalli
Mandal Head Quarters, West Godavari District, A.P– Click here for details VKKB (2014-19) Program
• Covered 38 primary schools, run by government in Devarapalli Mandal area, where majority of the poor
children (V-kids) are studying in these schools.
• About 780 V-kids from 38 schools studying 5th Class have participated in Lvel-1 Test. The selected first (1st)
and second (2nd) from each school i.e. a total of 76 V-kids awarded with Bronze and Silver Medals
respectively.
• The final test held among the 76 V-kids for selection of eight (8) winners for six (6) years Scholarships
covering 5th class to 10th class studies.
• The final winners (8 V-kids) were awarded with Gold Medals and Scholarship Certificates covering 5th to
10th class studies.
• A total cash award of Rs. 33,000.00 has been allocated for awarding the scholarships as per the schedule
of six (6) years; This has been supported by a single Sponsor – Mr. Imran Khan, NRI from Abu Dhabi.

5. VKKB PROGRAM (2014-18)– HIGHLIGHTS

• About 760 V-kids from 38 schools studying 5th Class have participated in Lvel-1 Test. The selected first (1st)
and second (2nd) from each school i.e. a total of 76 V-kids awarded with Mementoes, Merit Certificates
and Dictionaries.
• The final test held among the 76 V-kids for selection of five (5) winners for five (5) years Scholarships
covering 5th class to 9th class studies.
• The final winners (5 V-kids) were awarded with Mementoes and Scholarship Certificates covering 5th to 9th
class studies.
• A total cash award of Rs. 30,000.00 has been allocated for awarding the scholarships as per the schedule
of five (5) years.
• This initiative has been supported by generous Sponsors – mostly NRIs.
