Pre-Algebra Placement
•Proper Placement is the correct balance between
challenge & enrichment vs. frustration and discouragement
•Initially misplaced students begin to struggle and often
become extremely overwhelmed
•Once on this rapidly accelerating trajectory – it is often
hard to get back on a more appropriate placement.
•Misplaced 6th grade Pre-Algebra students often end up in
remedial classes at the high school level
