2. Why
It is not these peoples’ fault that they get
Hepatitis A. Some countries don’t have
enough to buy the vaccine and others have
contaminated water. They also may not
even have enough money to get the proper
facilities to wash their hands.

3. As you learn about this disease, think
about how we can just turn on the faucet or
shower and get water whenever we want.
Some children have to walk 4 miles every day
to get only a little bucket of water. Please
read this and learn how to prevent this
terrible disease for everyone.

• Drinking contaminated water
• Coming in contact with an infected person or
their blood

• Using Drugs
• Not washing your
hands

6. Symptoms
• Dark Urine
• Fatigue
• Itching
• Loss of appetite
• Fever
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Yellow Skin

likely to catch it:
• South or Central
America
• Asia (except Japan)
• Africa
• Eastern Europe

8. How To Prevent It
• Washing your hands
• Vaccines
• Not coming in contact
with the diseased
people
