HOW TO WRITE A TITLE
-----------------------------------------------
A title tells the reader the topic of the paragraph. A title is usually a word or phrase. If it is a
sentence, it should not be a long sentence.
Remember These Points
1. Capitalize the first word, last word, and all important words in the title. Do not capitalize
prepositions of articles, unless the article is at the beginning of the title.
2. Do not underline or italicize the title.
3. Do not use a period ( . ), or a comma ( , ) at the end of the title. Do not use quotation marks
unless it is the name of a poem or short story. You can use an exclamation mark ( ! ) or a
question mark ( ? ) at the end of the title.
