Hawaii. It's the most active volcano
in the world.
Mount Fuji in Japan is dormant at
the moment. Its last eruption was in
1707.
Anatahan is an extinct volcano in
the Pacific Ocean.

5. VOLCANOES UNDER THE SEA
The underwater volcanoes can grow so big that
islands form.
The Galapagos islands are volcanic islands,
they were formed under the sea. They are near
the coast of Ecuador. There are 13 big islands
and 6 smaller islands.
There are still eruptions in the Galapagos
islands.
Other volcanic islands are:
- Canary Islands in Spain
- Sicily in Italy
- Hawaii in the USA
- Japan in the Pacific Ocean
