4. Marc LAFORET
Direttore artistico del Festival Melodia del Vino
Cari amici,
Dear friends,
Once again we are together to celebrate the heritage of Tuscany, exalted by classical music, whose notes will
resonate in the most beautiful cellars in the region. Alexander Romanovsky, a very talented Ukranian pianist,
will open the festival with a musical programme whose great variety is a measure of his great talent. The presence of the famous François-René Duchâble is a real occasion. His personal journey has taken him away from
the traditional music scene, so it is a cherished occasion for me to experience first hand this beautiful two-piano
repertoire. I will have the pleasure of sharing the following concert with the talented cellist Henri Demarquette,
famous all over the world for his sensitive and subtle play of notes. Beatrice Rana, one of the great hopes of the
Italian piano scene, will be interpreting the celebrated Chopin’s 24 Preludes. The festival will close with a recital
by Giovanni Bellucci, who will be offering us a programme including the great sonatas of Chopin and Liszt.
To conclude, i would like to express my deepest gratitude to all our sponsors and partners without whom this
festival could not happen.
I wish everyone a fantastic festival!

6. Cristina SCALETTI
in Toscana.
Melodia del Vino is constantly growing and expanding. In just three years it has become a landmark
summer event, both because of the quality of its concerts, which feature world-renowned artists who
perform in beautiful and unique venues, and also due to the participation of some of the most prestigious
wine producers in Tuscany. Collaboration with ‘Città del Vino’ has helped the festival maintain its international orientation while remaining firmly rooted in Tuscany. Melodia del Vino enhances and diversifies the
culture which the region has to offer, attracting music fans from around the world who take the opportunity to
spend a few days holidaying in Tuscany. For all of these reasons, the Region of Tuscany continues to support
this great event, as it has done since its birth in 2011.
The time has come for music to meet wine in Tuscany: have fun!

Marc LAFORET
Pianoforte - Francia

intuition led him to think that to create a wine of very high quality and to interpret a musical masterpiece
are needed the same desire of perfection, the same sensitivity, the same taste for quality and a shared
sense of aesthetics and refinery. The Festival Les Grands Crus Musicaux takes place at Bordeaux from
