Content Standard :
1.1 Pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm
and intonation.
Learning Standard :
1.1.1 Able to listen and respond to stimulus given with guidance
(a) environmental sounds
(b) voice sounds
1.1.3 Able to listen, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.
Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
(a) respond to stimulus given
(b) sing song with guidance
Teaching Aids : Manila card, picture cards, cassette player, textbook
Activities :
1. Teacher plays the cassette player and pupils guess the sounds.
2. Teacher displays the picture cards and pupils will make the sound of each picture.
3. Students refer to the textbook and say the sounds the animals make.
4. Teacher conducts a short visit to the school compound with the students.
5. During the visit, teacher asks students to make sounds on things pointed by her.
6. In the classroom, students will refer to textbook for more understanding.
7. Teacher pastes a manila card containing a song and students will sing aloud.
