1. Hello!
We are from Badalona, a city next to Barcelona.
We study in Col·legi Lestonnac Badalona.
We live in Badalona, but we are from Catalunya,
Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Honduras and Bolibia.
In Catalunya we speak Catalan and Spanish.

2. FOOD
The typical food from Catalunya is: bread with tomato, Catalan
sausage (butifarra) with beans and calçots (onions).
What’s your favourite food? Do you like bread with tomato?

4. SARDANES
The traditional dance of Catalunya is "La Sardana". People make a
circle and dance. In the school, we dance other Catalan dances
with the Music teacher: ball de bastons (stick dance) and Ball de
Gitanes (bells dance).

5. CASTELLS
Catalans make human towers. Castell means "castle" in English.
People who make castells are castellers. Castellers wear white
trousers, a shirt and a red sash. They don’t wear shoes.

7. CHRISTMAS
Do you know “El Tió”? How do you celebrate Christmas in London?
We celebrate "El Tió". "El Tió" is a log. We give food to "El Tió".
We hit "El Tió" with sticks and he poops presents. "El Tió" poops
almonds and nougat.

8. TAXIS
In Barcelona, the taxis are yellow and black.
Which colour are the taxis from London?

9. STREETS
In the streets of Barcelona there are paving stones with a flower.
This paving stone is very famous: it is the flower of Barcelona. The
designer is Josep Puig i Cadafalch.

10. SANT JORDI
Do you know Sant Jordi?
In the 23rd of April, we celebrate Sant Jordi. In the legend, Sant
Jordi kills a dragon and a red rose sprouts from the blood of the
dragon. Sant Jordi gifts the red rose to the princess.

11. Catalan people gift books and roses in Sant Jordi. In the school, we
write stories and poems. We buy books for the class.

12. "Les Rambles" is a famous street in Barcelona. In Sant Jordi, Les
Rambles is full of people that buy books and roses.

13. TIBIDABO
Is there a theme park in London? In Barcelona there is a theme
park: Tibidabo. There are a lot of rides. You can see all Barcelona
from Tibidabo.

14. Our favourite rides are chair seats, four cups and bumper cars.
We go to Tibidabo the last day of the school.

15. ANTONI GAUDÍ
Antoni Gaudí is a famous architect. In Barcelona there are
buildings of Antoni Gaudí: la Sagrada Família, La Casa Batlló, El
Park Güell, La Casa Milà....

16. Our favourite building is Sagrada Família.
