6. Our surroundings and landscape
This is Bilbao, where Athletic
of Bilbao has got his stadium,
the New San Mames, which is
dearly called “the cathedral
of football”. In the pictures
you can see the “Ria”, the
Guggenheim Museum that is
known all over the world and
the “Puente Colgante” (in
Getxo).
We are surrounded by mountains, and the sea
is very near. Here, the ports had been very
important in the past and nowadays they
remain in active.
Green areas are also an important attractive thing
here and we’ve got many beautiful parks, like “Doña
Casilda” park. At the back, you can see the
Iberdrola tower (the third highest tower in Spain).
7. Our surroundings and landscape
This picture shows San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, located
between Bakio and Bermeo, in the north coast of Spain and
the views from the top are spectacular.
We live in a beautiful place
where tradition and
modernism live together.
8. Our high school
Our school is divided into two buildings.
In the first building, there are students
for first and second of secondary. In the
second building, there are students for third
and fourth of secondary and first and second of
bachiller. 1 of secondary to 4 of secondary is from the age 12-16. And
in bachiller there are two school
years from 16 to 18 years.
Our school is between mountains and buildings.
The view from the playground is very beautiful.
This is the second building.
9. Our school year starts on September
and finishes in June. The school year is
formed of three terms. The first term
started in September, the second term
started after Christmas holidays and the
third term started after Easter week.
We classes start at 8:15 every day and

at quarter past eight in La Siebe high school.
After being 6 hours in classes and some time of
brake, we go home and we do our homework.
Some of us also do different activities after
classes, like football, boxing, swimming…
Weekends are days of relaxing
a little bit from everyday
stressful life. We usually go

In the beginning, Basque people did them because boys sometimes put face to

weeks long. During Easter holidays in many parts of our country there are
specific religious processions, the most important ones are celebrated in
Sevilla. Then, we have less important free weeks like Carnivals. A normal day
