Catalonia is an autonomous community located in northeastern Spain with four provinces: Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida, and Girona. Its flag features red and yellow stripes and its official languages are Catalan and Spanish. Saint George's Day is celebrated annually on April 23rd in Catalonia and coincides with the Fair of the Book and the Rose, where men give women roses and receive books in return to commemorate Cervantes, while traditional Saint George's bread is also eaten.
