2. SCENE 1:FATHER ENTERS
Father enters the house drunk, with a bottle of cheap rum.
He startles his daughter as he’s about to fall and she comes
forth to hold him. He slaps her.
FATHER
Hatth ja yahan se, haraamzadi.
The daughter falls on the floor and starts crying.
SCENE 2:FATIMA KISSING HER MOTHER GOODBYE FOR THE DAY
Mother is shown sitting on the chaar pai as fatima enters
and kisses her mother’s forehead. Mother opens a knot in her
dupata to get some money to give to fatima.
MOTHER
beta yeh kuch paesay rakh lo aur
sara kaam kerke, shaam tak jaldi
ghr ajana.
Fatima smiles.
FATIMA
Jee ami.
After that fatima leaves the house and in the background the
father is shown lying on the chaar pai, sleeping in a
careless manner.
SCENE 3:FATIMA ON THE WAY
Fatima is walking on the footpath to go to work.On the
way,two guys on the bike, ride by her, teasing her.
ONE OF THE BOYS
oye hoye soneyo, ruk tou. kidhar ja
rae hae itni subha subha.
Fatima takers her dupatta and covers her head properly and
also slightly covering her face as she walks away ignoring
the boys teasing her. They continue to follow her and tease
her.
ONE OF THE BOYS
Janemaaaaaan!
As they are teasing her, a policeman rides by them to stop
them. He goes after them and drives them away. He comes back
and stops his bike beside her.

FATIMA
Shukia saab!
She is hesitating inside and tries to walk away.
POLICE OFFICER
Bus sukha sukha shukria?
He says this as he looks at her in a flirtatious way. Fatima
runs away.
SCENE 4: FATIMA ENTERS THE HOUSE SHE WORKS IN.
The guard opens the gate for fatima to enter and she greets
him and goes straight insides.
FATIMA
Asalamalaikum!
GUARD
waalaikumasalam!
SCENE 5:FATIMA WORKING IN THE KITCHEN.
Fatimna is washing dishes in the kitchen when from behind
her Mistress, named Natasha walks in the kitchen grabbing
her cup of coffee and shown all set to leave for work.
NATASHA
sara kaam sae se ker dena please
fatima! aur han saab andar so rahay
haen, woh 11 bajay tak uthay gaen,
unko time se nashta de dena.
FATIMA
baji dhoodh nae hae saab ki chaye k
liya.
NATASHA
achaa .. chalo thero mae guard ko
bhejti hn, woh le ata.
FATIMA
jee baji.
Natasha grabs her keys and starts walking out the kitchen
door. As she is walking out the door ..
NATASHA
mae 5 bajay tak ajaon gi phr mae
tumhae khud ghr chor aon gi, theek
hae. iss tarhan akelay mat jana.

FATIMA
han theek hae baji.
Fatima starts washing all the dishes again.
SCENE 6: FATIMA TAKES THE BREAKFAST TO THE ROOM.
Fatima fixes up the breakfast tray in the kitchen and then
carries it through the hallway to the room. She knocks on
the door.
VOICE FROM INSIDE
kon?
FATIMA
saab nashta!
VOICE FROM INSIDE
ajao!
Fatima opens the door and sees the Master named Zaid lying
face down on the bed without a shirt. he slowly gets up and
faces towards her. Fatima places the tray on the table.
FATIMA
saab aur kuch chahiyay?
Zaid does not respond and looks at her in a flirticious way
from head to toe.
ZAID
chamach pakrao.
Fatima gets a little confused as the spoon is right in front
of him and he can easily reach it himself but without asking
any questions he reaches for the spoon. She picks it up and
stretches her hand forward to hand it over. As she is
handing over the spoon, he takes her hand and pulls her
towards him to whisper something in her ear.
BLACK OUT.
Zaid is shown locking the room door.
SCENE 6:FATIMA IS WASHING THE CLOTHES.
Fatima is shown washing the clothes as she is silently
weeping. Suddenly a hand comes fourth with money in it. Zaid
is all dressed up for work and is shown handing Fatima the
money. Fatima is all confused and is looking at him
startled.

ZAID
10 hazar haen. rakh le. aur ab apna
mu band rakheen.
Fatima stares at him for moment and the slowly takes the
money from his hand.
ZAID
Akalmand ho.
Zaid smiles and then leaves. Fatima stares at the money and
is suddenly lost in her thought. She rolls the money and
places it in a knot in her dupatta.
SCENE 7:NATASHA COMES HOME
Natasha drives her car up the driveway and parks it. Gets
out of the car and walks in the front door. As she enters
the house, to her shock, she finds Fatima sitting in the
corner crying with her clothes all torn up. Natasha quickly
runs to Fatima and holds her ans she screams.
NATASHA
FATIMAA, KYA HUWA FATIMA TUMHAE,
KIS NE KARA YEH.
FATIMA
(STARTS WEEPING LOUDLY)
Natasha gets all nervous.
NATASHA
fat.. fatimaaa. Yeh kis ne kara?
FATIMA
(AS SHE IS WEEPING)
sa.. sa.. saab!!
Natasha gets all numb and falls on the floor in shock.
SCENE 8:FATIMA
A girl is sitting in the car lost in her thoughts. The car
stops in front of the Arcadian Cafe and the girl looks out
of the window. The driver opens the door and she steps out
and takes off her glasses. It is Fatima. She walks in the
the cafe with a folder in her hand and sits on a table with
another women sitting opposite to her. Fatima opens her
folder and looks at the women.

Yes?
WOMEN
I think my husband is cheating on
me.
