Director Jackie Taranto said it
would be a mistake to gauge
India’s role as supplying out-
sourcing to Australian busi-
ness. Companies emerging in
Bangalore, the nerve centre of
Indian Information Technolo-
gy, were enterprises and start-
ups rather than outsourcing
hubs, she added.
Excited about India being a
partner country in 3-day long
mega ICT event, ‘CeBIT Aus-
tralia 2012’, that kicked off in
Sydney,theeventorganiserhas
said ‘India’s selection’will help
boost trade between the two
countries.IndiawasAustralia’s
fifth-largest trading partner
and its being CeBIT’s partner
country this year would mean
“atremendousamountofbusi-
ness” between the two coun-
tries, Taranto said. “India has
developed technical solutions
fore-health,mobility,financial
services, engineering, utilities
and e-government, and the
country is investing in the fu-
ture by training its young peo-
pleincomputingskills.“India’s
businessisverystronginfinan-
cial services, and they are put-
tingalotofworkintomobility,”
she added.
Companieswerebeingchal-
lengedtointegratecloudcom-
putingintotheirbusiness,“and
that’swhatthisshowisabout”,
she said, adding, “Cloud tech-
nologies are the way of the fu-
ture, but there are still reser-
vations about its adoption
