1. A Plant's Life By: Nick King and Alex Edwards

2. Once upon a time there lived a little plant.

3. This little plant never got any sun or rain because of the mean trees that grew over it. But the little plant needed these things to grow.

4. In a cell there are many green circles that make food for the plant. They are known as chloroplasts.

5. They take in the sun because of the green, known as chlorophyll.

6. They them make food and give it to the power plant known as the mitochondria so they can make energy.

7. They then use it to power the cell.

8. But when there’s no sun the chloroplasts can’t make food…

9. And then the mitochondria can’t make the power for the cell.

10. So one day the chloroplasts decided to have a meeting about it.

11. They decided that, for the good of the little plant, they should move to an area with more sun.

12. So one day when a fox was passing by the little plant asked the fox to move him.

13. The fox asked him what he would do for the fox and the little plant said that he would let the fox burrow under it.

14. The fox thought this was a fair trade and agreed.

15. And they walked until they found a nice meadow with lots of water and plentiful sun.

16. And so the little plant grew into a big tree and him and the fox lived happily ever after.
