TEACHER’S LEAVE?
•Teachers are entitled of leave
privileges for the continuous
service in the government, enable
to rest, recuperate and to regain
energy. For this purpose, leave
laws are provided to serve as
guide in processing leave and
availing leave benefits.

Teaching personnel in
DepEd are entitled to 15

classroom teaching are
under Teacher’s leave
basis. Teachers are NOT
entitled to the usual
vacation and sick leave

render the same hours of
service as other employees
shall be entitled to vacation
and sick leave.

8. SICK LEAVE
•Granted only on account of
sickness or disability on the
part of the employee
concerned or any member
of his /her immediate

which is contingent upon

teachers – shall not be
entitled to the usual
vacation and sick leave
credits but to Proportional
Vacation Pay (PVP) of 70

Employees with 10 days or

shall have a five days
forced/mandatory leave. It
shall be forfeited if not taken

LEAVE
•An official/employee who is absent
w/out approved leave shall not be
entitled to receive salary
corresponding to the period of his
unauthorized leave of absence, it
shall no longer be deducted from
his accumulated leave credits, if
