This document contains calculations for the sizing of reinforced concrete columns for a structural building project. Column sizes are determined by first calculating the axial load capacity requirement based on the column cross-sectional area and assumed concrete compressive strength. The required column area is then calculated based on the axial load and code prescribed relationships. Finally, the column dimensions are chosen to meet or exceed the required area. Column sizes ranging from 10x10cm to 22x20.4cm are determined for the various load conditions analyzed.
