Currently a major focus of much cancer
research and drug development, targeted
therapies utilize drugs and other substances
that help prevent cancer cells from growing
and spreading by specifically targeting those
molecules that affect carcinogenesis and
tumor growth.

considered a type of chemotherapy, they
are less harmful to normal cells than
traditional chemotherapy drugs, which act
on all rapidly dividing cells, including those
