2. The Summerset are a pop punk band from Scottsdale, Arizona. The music video for this song was released on the 26th of November in 2009 on YouTube. The video mainly consist of a narrative of a guy who likes a girl, but is too shy to show her how he truly feels.

This music video mainly uses conventions of a high school sitcom style most notably like the sitcom ‘That 70s Show’ This is shown by the the bright rainbow colours for the opening titles and stereotypical high school characters such as the jock, the popular girl and the nerd. To add to this the storyline is of a typical high movie where the unpopular guy tries to get with the popular girl but the jock is always getting in the way.
4. Like most pop punk videos this video has a band performance where the band are performing in front of an audience. In this case the band’s performance is at a high school. There are close ups of each band member and also close ups of their instruments.
5. There are some comedic parts which fits in with some of the stereotypes of the music videos in this genre. The video ends with the unpopular guy getting the popular girl, this stays within the stereotype of a high school drama. This shows that the target audience for this video are teenagers in high school as they would be able to relate to some of the things going on in the music video.
