1. TEETH
Teeth is the part inside the
mouth which helps to masticate
and convert the complex food
particles into smaller particles.

2. TYPES OF TEETH
There are 4 types of
teeth
 Incisor
 Canine
 Premolar
 Molar

4. Incisor helps to bite and cut
the food.
 Canine helps to tear the
food.
 Premolar helps in chewing
the food.
Molar helps in crushing and
grinding the food particles.

5. STRUCTURE OF A
TOOTH
Tooth consist of 4 parts :
 Enamel
 Dentine
 Pulp
 Cementum

7. Enamel is the hardest part
of the body which consists
of dead tissue.
 It is the part of the teeth
which is white in colour.

8.  Dentine is the living tissue
which forms the tooth.
 Pulp is the soft connective
tissue seen in the pulp cavity.
 Pulp contains blood vessels,
lymph ducts and nerve fibres.

9.  Cementum is the
connective tissue
containing calcium that
holds in the socket of the
gum.
