2. WHAT IS STRESS?
According to Webster dictionary “Stress is
when you develop negative emotions such
as fear, worry, and or tension from within
because you cannot cope well with your
life situations or events.”
3. YOU CONTROL YOUR STRESS
Even though external things might start the
process of stress, you can always control your
stress if you are able to control yourself, which
are your emotions.
It does not matter what happens, if you have a
positive mindset and look for the positive in
things, then your life will become positive.
However, if you have a negative mindset, then
your life will become negative.
4. TYPE OF STRESS
The first type of stress is called acute
stress.
Acute stress is short term stress that does
not last long and usually disappear after
the event or situation is over.
Some examples of acute stress are public
speaking, taking an exam or from things
and events that make you stress out at
the current moment.
5. TYPE OF STRESS
The second type of stress is distant stress;
when the past affects the present moment.
Common examples of distant stress are
trauma events such as veterans suffering
from post combat, sexual abuse, or other
events that still affect individuals to live
well in the present moment.
6. TYPE OF STRESS
The third type of stress is chronic
stress, ongoing stress that people
cannot manage.
Two examples of chronic stress are
taking care of a sick person and
unemployment.
7. TRY TO PREVENT CHRONIC
STRESS
It is important that you learn how to control your
stress before it becomes chronic because it will
affect your entire life.
In order to avoid chronic stress, you have to learn
how to deal and cope with life situations as soon
as possible, and not avoid them.
The longer your stress is inside, the more stress
hormones develop, which will prevent your body
to cope and heal from sicknesses and diseases.
8. OVERCOME YOUR STRESS
The faster you are able to control and
manage your stress, the stronger you will
become to help fight off unhealthy
hormones, which include stress hormones.
Every time your body overcome stress;
even just a little bit, it becomes stronger.
