prepared every two years.

government. (Here’s a few examples)
• The Texas Constitution requires a balanced
budget, which means that the state cannot spend
more money than they have.
4. • Texas’ 2010-11 state budget, passed by the
Texas Legislature in 2009, includes more
than $182 billion, and provides funding for
dozens of agencies and hundreds of programs.
