The demand for newer, superior technology has increased the pace at which current devices reach the end of their useful lives. As a result, the question of what to do with obsolete electronics has become a global issue. Disposal is not the answer. Computers and other electronics need to be properly handled by a responsible recycling company rather than being sent to a waste disposal company.

4. Recycle End of Life ICT Equipment. We believe that, whenever possible, recovery is the best environmental solution for electronic equipment that contains reusable components. The first step in our process is to test equipment to determine if it can be reused. If so, we make sure that any data containing components are sanitized and all information is removed. In this way, we can return profits to our customers while assuring them of the security of their proprietary information. They also receive certification that their equipment has been properly recycled and their data has been destroyed.

7. Implement a compliant and robust process that meets and exceeds WEEE directives. We are also ISO9001 and ISO14001 registered and we have just been accredited by the Environment Agency for an ‘Approved’ Status ATF Site (AATF)

8. Offer cost saving on incumbent process and generate revenue. Concept Managements skills are borne out of maximising return from end of life, redundant and obsolete ICT equipment. With this in mind, we are able to guarantee that the service we offer is FREE OF CHARGE regardless of ICT equipment that has been procured.

9. Remain Data Secure With equipment that needs collecting we would provide an Asset Management service ON SITE which includes logging all data removed to ensure the equipment can be removed from the Asset list. This is completed by a two man team with one person staying with the carrier at all times. Once back to Head quarters we clear any remaining information left or shred the equipment to insure our clients’ information is destroyed under CCTV conditions. Offer a detailed labelling and tracking of loads from the time of pick-up throughout the entire recycling process.

10. Remain Data Secure Remove the asset and customer identification tags from each item. Perform sanitization of media to clear all data. Degaussing all hard drives, floppy disks, magnetic tape, and other media video monitoring of drives and other media throughout the shredding process and data destruction on optical media Provide the then appropriate Certificate of Destruction, Certificate of Media Sanitization and Certificate of Media Destruction Site security consists of State of the art intruder alarm system which conforms to British Standard 4737. We have both External and Internal CCTV with 360 degree rotation with motion sensors. The premises are protected by secure metal shutters covering entrances and exits and windows are protected with metal bars.

11. Liability of lost data. The responsibility for Data and Equipment remains with the Authority until we have catalogued the equipment on site and logged the asset number, once we have completed this then the integrity and responsibility falls to Concept Management Limited. 12. Hard Disk Drive Destruction Protocols Each Hard Disk Drive will be counted prior to pick up or delivery to our site. The drives will be counted on site. The drives will be allocated a job number. The drives will be placed in Secure Storage until destruction. Upon breakdown of the job, the drives will be scanned on to the job sheet. Under CCTV surveillance and recorded, each drive will be drilled using an 8mm drill to denote start of destruction process.

13. Hard Disk Drive Destruction Protocols Drives will be broken down to component level. Certificate of Media Destruction, Job Sheet and Duty of Care Notes are produced. Video Copy of destruction process is produced – if needed. Under no circumstances will the drive be put in to a machine for any purpose and under no circumstances will the Data within the drive come under any form of scrutiny.

14. Contribute to the Organization's Green Agenda. Recycling whether for commercial reasons or for ‘green’ reasons are hot topic at the moment and Concept Management can help on both fronts.
