Accounts Officer
Reporting to the Finance Manager Flight Operations, Flight Services, Corporate Planning,
Fuel, Works & SBBFA. I am responsible for overall Tendering & procurement strategies for
Fuel & Training contracts, Outstation Hotels as well as Tenders of works department.
The Flight Operations is one of the most important and key departments of PIA, which has
approximately 30% of the whole budget yearly. The Flight Operation in PIA deals with the
Fuel Contracts for flights from different stations and through his section the arrangements of
foreign Station Hotels for all Cabin & Cockpit Crew are being done properly. I am responsible
for their tenders, making comparison for all the concerned facilities and make decisions.
Secondly, the trainings along with all the concerned procedures and related issues with the
trainings of all Cabin Crew & Cockpit Crew are being controlled and monitored by me.
Flight Operations Receivable, Purchase (Local as well as Foreign), Payables, Materials &
Tendering with site visits & Prequalification of vendors are also the parts of my
responsibilities.
I am also responsible for strengthening the financial and management reporting framework
while working in Tender Committee and while visiting their sites as well.

Reporting to the Finance Manager Procurement & Logistics, The P & L Department is one of
the key departments of PIA, which has approximately 50% of the budget yearly. The P & L
of PIA is one of the licensed procuring agencies for aircraft spares of Pakistan.
In P & L department I am experienced in directly dealing in Procurements, Purchases (Local
as well as Foreign), Payables, Materials (Dispatch’s & deliveries) & Tendering (Site visits &
Prequalification of vendors) & Receivables.
As Officer in P & L, I was also responsible for strengthening the financial and management
reporting framework regarding new purchases while working as permanent Tender
Committee Member. Including this have also worked on Earnest Money of Local as well as
foreign Vendors by keeping an eye on the Quality and services.
I was also responsible to present all the details of Purchasing as well as contracts in Stores
Purchase Committee and Central Purchase Committee meetings.
2. Accounts Supervisor (Store Purchase Supervisor) (June 2014 to December 2015)
Reporting to General Manager Procurement & Logistics/ Procurement Management,
here I worked as a coordinator to GM P&L/PM and I was responsible for all correspondence
of GM office to higher management & to lower grade staff. Preparation of all comparative
statements for the foreign & local purchases, and to arrange different meetings of purchase
committee for different contracts and to coordinate with the management for preparing the
Final Purchase contracts were my key responsibilities as well.
I used to report to a supervisor, and 36 non-management employees. I exercised Limits of
Authority of a grade 24 Manager.
