3. General Information
 Do not take anything from the teacher’s desk unless
given permission
 Student materials are on top of the black file cabinet
 Extra spelling activity sheets are in a file on top of the
black cabinet
 If you borrow a pencil, you give me a shoe or a cell
phone until I get my pencil back
 Shelves are to remain neat
 Do not tear up the white binders

4. Agenda is REQUIRED for all classes!

5. Homework
 English homework - Given Monday…..Due Friday
 Reading homework - Given Monday …..Due Friday
 5 points for the week
 Make-up work district policy will be followed for
students that are absent
 Spelling/Vocabulary tests given every Friday
(alternating)

6. Homeroom
 Homeroom time will be used for making up
work, retests, and remediation.
 A pass will be placed on Mrs. Fonda’s door for you to
come to my room after announcements.
 Documentation
 No calling around

7. Progress Reports
 Progress reports will be given the fifth week of each
nine week period
 Progress reports for learning support reading and
English will be given weekly if the student has a “D” or
an “F”
 All progress reports are required to be signed

8. Accelerated Reader
 One book will be read during each nine week period
 Book level will be based on Star Reader test
 The score is a percent based on 40 points
 A score of zero will be given to those caught cheating
 Passing will be 70% or higher
 May earn up to 25 extra credit points per nine weeks
 Points will be determined on Renaissance Learner

9. IEP Folders
 Each student with reading or English goals will be
given an IEP folder
 Folders do not leave this classroom
 IEP folders will be kept in the bottom of the black file
cabinet
 Fridays and extra time during class will be used for
progress monitoring goals

10. Rewards
Weekly:
 Stickers for every “A”
 Ten stickers equals a $1.00 coupon to the Snack Shack
9 Weeks:
 Pizza party
