3. On CD The CD is a spin-off of Laserdisc technology. ‘Sony’ first publicly demonstrated an optical digital audio disc in September 1976. A CD album for example, ‘RIHANNA, GOOD GIRL GONE BAD’ was first released 2007, on Def Jam Recordings. However today's technology allows individuals to make their own recording at home. ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ contains up-tempo and ballad-oriented songs, and it heavily incorporates pop and dance-pop musical styles. The quality of the music is good and sounds clear. Comparing CD to vinyl records, first publicly developed in the 1920s, the audio quality in CD sounds better than vinyl record as it is improved. 4. VHS The VHS is a consumer-level video standard developed by Victor Company of Japan. The 1970s was a period when video recording became a major contributor to the television industry. A VHS for example ‘THE INCREDIBLE HULK’ was first released 2001 by the ‘Universal’ studio by a team. The quality was not as good because it wasn’t that clear. There was colour however it wasn’t effective enough. The factors that might have given the poor quality might have been because of the period they were made and so the technology might not have been developed enough to give the same effect as DVD today. 5. DVD DVD is an optical disc storage media format, invented and developed by Philips, Sony, Toshiba, and Time Warner in 1995. DVDs offer higher storage capacity than compact discs while having the same dimensions. A DVD for example ‘JUMPER’ the movie, was released 2008. Made from studios: Regency Enterprises, New Regency Productions. The quality of the film was excellent. The studio's 100 employees developed the visual effects for 300 of the 600 shots in the film. In total, there are more than 100 jumps in the film, and each jump was modified based on the distance and location the characters jumped. The jumps were developed using Nuke and Shake software programs. Many of the shots, including those of Big Ben London and the Sphinx were created using the program ‘Maya’. However a Jumper the movie was made into ‘Blu Ray player’ recently which is improved technology of DVD.
6. Blu Ray Blu-ray Disc was developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association, a group representing makers of consumer electronics, computer hardware, and motion pictures. As of June 2009, more than 1,500 Blu-ray Disc titles were available in the United Kingdom.
