 Montgomery McFate is a Minerva Chair of the
Strategic Research Development Department at
the Naval War College in Rhode Island.
Montgomery McFate works as part of the Minerva
Program team to conduct social science research
relevant to United States security threats.
The Minerva Project is a research initiative across
multiple military branches to hone their research
focus on social sciences. It was started by the
Secretary of Defense in 2008 to improve and
enhance national security.

The Minerva Project includes scientific research
