Reports to the Technical Projects Manager and contact with other Department Superintendents, Division and
Department Managers.
Main Accountabilities:
• Plan, control and co-ordinate the office engineering activities to ensure that the company objectives are fully
met and inline with the standard practices.
• Check, review structural system, model, design concepts and design drawings.
• To participate, supervise, draft and review the detailed drawings such as concrete formwork, steel
reinforcement , steel structures, bar bending list, building coordination between Architectural, Structural,
Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical activities, infrastructure coordination between pipes & cables and leveling of
networks, 3D modeling, isometric based on approved process schemes for finalization of executed projects.
Also responsible for method of statement, specification development and as-built updating of documents
/drawings after completion of the modifications.
• To participate and supervise the design check/review for the concrete and steel structures(main and secondary
items)
• In-charge of Drawing, Documentation and Technical Library to ensure that drawing, record-keeping,
cataloguing moreover, filing activities are efficiently performed, that engineering documents are properly
referenced and stored and that library of such documents, manuals and reference material on design and
equipment is instituted and maintained.
• Ensure updating of documents and drawings to as-built status. Also to control issue / return of various
standards and reference books, magazines, copies of drawings, manuals, data sheets, technical specifications,
as well as CDs.
• Support development of scope of works, Assist Cost Engineer/Planning Engineer in cost estimation and
quantities.
• Co-ordinate for document updating for new Projects and modifications handled by those divisions and co-
ordinate and receive required deliverables for the new projects from the Major projects division.
• Research the specifications and test requirements to facilitate procurement, Analyzes technical data, designs,
preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment.
• Consults with engineering personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for manufacturing and
testing, Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most desirable, Advises company personnel,
suppliers, and customers of nature and function of parts and equipment, Interviews supplier representatives
regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts and equipment.

2. • Arranges and participates in conferences between suppliers and engineers, purchasers, inspectors, and other
company personnel to facilitate material inspection, substitution, standardization, rework, utilization, and
economical procurement of parts and equipment installed or related products.
