11.  Kos is Greece in a nutshell, ancient ruins, idyllic beaches, the flotsam and
jetsam of passing civilizations, from Turks to Venetians, all within easy reach.
Kos offers the visitor a wonderful variety of landscapes, beaches, sites and
monuments, entertainment, cuisine and modern accommodation.
 Its proximity to other beautiful islands such as Kalymnos, Patmos, and the
coast of the Asian Minor, offers unique opportunities for small daily getaways.

12.  In ancient times, Kos was home to Hippocrates, the
father of medicine.
 The Asclepieion, an old temple and cure center where
Hippocrates' practiced and taught medicine can be
found in Kos.
 Cosmopolitan, with excellent facilities, magnificent
beaches and lush interior, Kos, combines it all. This is
the reason why each year the island hosts many
international conferences in its many large conference
venues.


13.  The International airport of Kos is connected via charter
flights to the whole Europe as well as Athens and the other
major cities in Greece, while there are daily sea connection
with Piraeus, Rhodes and the other Dodecanese islands.
 If you have never been to Greece before, Kos can give you a
intriguing foretaste of what the country has to offer.

14.  International Accessibility of Kos Island
 Flights
 Kos is Greece’s 4th biggest international airport with a capacity of large planes
landing on the island. All major European cities are connected with Kos with direct
flights for the period between the 1st of May until the end of October each year.
 There are about 60 direct European flights per day
 There are at least 6 daily direct flights from Athens (40 minutes flight time)

 There are daily flights from Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Crete

 Boat access
 There are 2 – 3 boats daily arriving directly from Piraeus-Attica, with an average of
8 hours trip duration. The boatsdepart in the afternoon from Piraeus and arrive
conveniently in the next morning to Kos.
 There are daily boats from Bodrum – Turkey that arrive within 30 minutes in Kos
city, for those who opt to use theBodrum airport for arriving in Turkey and then to
Kos, or for the Turkish delegates.
 There are boats twice a week from Crete Island.

17. Facilities for meetings and conferences:
 A total of 30 meeting rooms, with a capacity of 7.000 people. 20 meeting rooms
are located in KICC and another 10 rooms are located in KPCC, the 5-star
Kipriotis Panorama Hotel & Suites which is located about 550 meters away from
KICC (walking distance).
 Main plenary hall total capacity 2,300 people.
 3,000 square metres of exhibition space in KICC. 1,500 square metres of
exhibition space in the Kipriotis Panorama Hotel & Suites.

 Kos and the surrounding islands offer a lot of opportunities to enjoy your free
time.
 You can choose a tour of the island and admire the natural beauty and
the archaeological sites, take a day trip to the beautiful surrounding
islands of Nisyros, Kalymnos, Patmos or even to Turkey (Bodrum) which is
only 25 min. away.

