2. We started the editing process for our print ad by inserting the image we had
taken to adobe photoshop.
3. We then edited the image by adjusting the brightness and contrast in order to
make the photo appear more HD and enhance the lighting focus on the food
being served to reinforce the topic of the documentary.
4. Once we were satisfied with the image itself, we added the channel 4 logo
using an image from the internet. We used the colour white to keep to a
simple colour scheme and made sure it was a size and alignment that
conformed to the codes and conventions of a professional channel 4 advert.
5. After positioning the logo correctly, we inserted a background for our scheduling
information using the rectangle shape tool. We used a block colour (white to
maintain consistency with the logo) to conform to the standard conventions.
This ensures that the text stands out so the audience know exactly where to
watch the documentary.
6. Our final step was adding the text to the background. We used the font
Trebuchet MS which was as close to the channel 4 font as was possible. We
ensured the text was sans serif to make it clear and readable and kept the
scheduling information on the opposite side of the advert to the channel 4 logo.
