Linux vm in_v_box

  2. 2. Download Files from OTN http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/virtualbox/appliances/index.html
  3. 3. Combine parsed ~vdmk files
  4. 4. Start VirtualBox
  5. 5. Start Import Appliance (Ctrl + I)
  6. 6. Select Choose....
  7. 7. Navigate to OTN Files downloaded Oracle Developer Days.ovf
  8. 8. Validate and Select Next
  9. 9. Review Import Settings Edit Fields that need to be changed Create new files for the Disk Images
  10. 10. Select Finish to Import
  11. 11. Agree to OTN License
  12. 12. Import will start
  13. 13. Import may fail SHA1 Digest Error
  14. 14. Download and Install HashCalc www.slavasoft.com
  15. 15. Start HashCalc Enable SHA1 Select Radio Button
  16. 16. Select OTN_DD_ROOT.vmdk Press Open
  17. 17. Calculate OTN_DD_ROOT.vmdk Save hash to Notepad or text file
  18. 18. Repeat for OTN_DD_ORACLE.vdmk Procedure may take a few minutes
  19. 19. Repeat for Oracle Developer Days.ovf
  20. 20. Review HashCalc Data
  21. 21. Edit Oracle Developer Days.mf Associate with Wordpad
  22. 22. Edit Oracle Developer Days.mf Save and Exit
  23. 23. Attempt Import Appliance Aggree to OTN Developer License
  24. 24. Note Progress
  25. 25. Note Progress
  26. 26. Import will start
  27. 27. Import Complete
  28. 28. Start Appliance Start
  29. 29. Start Appliance
  30. 30. Start Appliance user: “oracle” -- password: “oracle”
  31. 31. Appliance Started
