2. HOW HAVE YOU TRIED TO
FACILITATE AND ENCOURAGE
YOUR OWN CREATIVITY?
I’ve tried to facilitate and encourage my own creativity by
attempting to think outside the box, and not being hesitant to put
my ideas forward. To also help my creativity I’ve also learnt to not
be so conscious on what other people may think about my
suggestions, and to be more confident.
3. DID YOU EXPERIENCE LIMITS/BLOCKS
ON YOUR OWN CREATIVITY?
There were specific moments when this happened
during the creation of our brief, as we did have to
conform to conventions; which sometimes prevented
us from going over the top with certain ideas.
4. HOW EASY/DIFFICULT WAS IT TO BE
CREATIVE WHILE STILL WORKING TO
THE BRIEF?
Whilst working on the brief it was easy to be creative,
as I was able to come off with a number of different
ideas to make our film as interesting as possible.
However it was difficult at times to keep up the
creativity as I was sometimes hesitant to share my
ideas around my teammates.
5. DID WORKING WITHIN CONVENTIONS
STIFLE YOUR CREATIVITY?
Working within conventions helped boost our
creativity as we knew what conventions to follow, so
therefore we were able to play around with them.
6. TO WHAT EXTENT DID YOU NEED TO WORK WITH OTHERS AND
‘BOUNCE IDEAS’ OFF OTHER PEOPLE TO BE TRULY CREATIVE?
Throughout the planning for our brief was when I had
to work with others. Whilst planning we each came up
with different suggestions and managed to expand
on each other’s thoughts.
7. HOW MUCH OF YOUR CREATIVITY WAS
ABOUT TRIAL AND ERROR?
Most of our creativity as a group was based on trial
and error throughout film making. Throughout the task
we came across a number of errors we had made
and realised that our initial ideas weren’t good
enough; which encouraged us to become more
creative in our planning process, once we had
changed our genre.
8. TO WHAT EXTENT WAS A LACK OF CONFIDENCE AN
ISSUE IN TERMS OF YOUR CREATIVITY?
There were a few times where I had a lack of
confidence sharing ideas that I thought may have
been creative. But it wasn’t a major issues as I mainly
felt comfortable around my team members.
9. TO WHAT EXTENT WAS A LACK OF TECHNICAL
COMPETENCE/CONFIDENCE AN OBSTACLE TO
YOUR CREATIVITY?
The only issue we had with technology was when it
came to editing and we decided to use a new
software which we hadn’t used before. However this
was also an advantage to us as it gave us a chance
to work even better as a team trying to figure out how
to use the programme.
