Elo Boosting and the Impact it has on High and Low Level Play in League of Legends (Draft 1) Ranked queue in League of Legends provides
competitive players an arena in which they can test and hone their skills against other like–minded opponents and see how skilled they are relative to
the rest of their region and fellow gamers. It is a great environment for players who thrive in a competitive atmosphere and players of all ranks
receive some sort of reward, with larger rewards earned the higher one's rank is. The most competitive players, who are often the highest ranked, earn
prizes– often in cash, gaming hardware worth a significant amount of money or in game currency, glory and possibly even a career. Unfortunately,
there are a good amount of individuals that wish to bypass the trials of ranked play and attain rewards that they themselves cannot earn. As in any
competitive environment, cheaters will inevitably exist and League of Legends is no exception. Those that do not wish to endure the stress of ranked
or are unable to climb with their own skill will cheat. This form of cheating in League of Legends, called elo boosting, is highly frowned upon by the
community and its developers, is a punishable offense, undercuts the skill necessary to attain certain ranks and degrades the sportsmanlike and
competitive nature of the game at all tiers and divisions of the game.

The Barclays Premier League is known to be one of the most exhilarating, competitive and unpredictable leagues in the world. Many strong teams

Manchester United is a team that doesn't miss the UEFA Champions League too often especially after Sir Alex Ferguson took over. In the current

whole world to it and more people have started playing these games
Dota 2 is a free–to–play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game was released
for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux .The Dota 2 is played in matches between two five–player teams known as radiant and dire, each of which
occupies a stronghold in a corner of the playing field. A team wins by destroying the other side's "Ancient" building, located within the opposing
stronghold. Each player controls one of 111 playable "Hero" characters that feature unique powers and styles of play. During a match, the player
collects gold, items, and experience points for their Hero, while combating Heroes of the opposite team.
League of Legends was one of the first standalone MOBAs, and it was able to transform the spirit of the original mods into a free–to–play
money–maker. While it has faced plenty of competition,

the dead player by throwing away some of the unreliable gold that they've earned. Reliable gold is awarded for kills while unreliable gold is gained
over time and for killing minions or creeps and even they grant experience to the

This part of the game is called the "laning phase", it's the phase to kill as much things as the player can to gain more gold. During this part of the
game, if things go well and smoothly, it's usually the most quiet part of the game. The jungle has a very important role in this phase of the game.
The player's job is to kill monsters in the jungle for levels since he does not have a lane and come into the lanes to help their teammate to win their
lane. Occasionally, "good job" or "well done" is thrown around to encourage teammates to continue to do well. At worst, people may accuse players of
stealing their valuable early–game kills. However, players will start to die eventually and end up "feeding" the enemy team gold. After a player dies
it could lead to one of two things, either they wise up and buy vision wards or unleash their rage on every player. Usually the backlash is towards
the enemy team demanding: "Stop camping me you douche", or "Fuck off". Each kill is worth three hundred goal and may give enemies an
advantage. This leads to one of two things, either the "feeder" apologizes to the rest of the team and promise to do better, or the blame game starts.
The player could start blaming the team for not helping

Dota 2 Paper Dota 2 is a video game played on the computer and is rising in popularity due to many discovering its competitive edge. According to
the "Tipping Point" this game is tipping into popularity, as more and more players join each month. Dota 2 got its original starting player base from
the version before it, DotA. DotA was a mod for Warcraft 3, one of the most popular mods for thegame. It was updated often by the developers as they
cared for the game and did their best to balance the meta. It was originally started by Guinsou and eventually taken over by IceFrog. IceFrog was the

This description could go on much longer, but one of the best ways to understand a game like this is to just jump in and practice playing. Dota 2
has been around since July 9, 2013, originally not including every hero. DotA was the original version of the game, and has all of the heroes
created for the game. As Dota 2 has grown in popularity, each hero from DotA has been added to the game, even a hero that was not originally
from DotA. As heroes are added to the game, it allows players to experience different games, these heroes often change the meta of the game. The
changing meta from updates and new heroes bring players back to "relearn" the game. A popular youtuber, Baumi, has described that he often is very
excited for a new patch to come out, as it mixes up the meta of the game and he says that he can learn new ways to play and understand new mechanics
(Baumi). These new ideas that bring people back to the game is very similar to the concept in the book "The Tipping Point", the Stickiness Factor. The
stickiness factor is shown with the example of Paul Revere riding and yelling the British are coming, making people remember it, or having it stick
in their heads. Dota 2 is similar in the way that people always come back to it to learn new mechanics and heroes. The game is sticky because, there is
always something new to learn each and every time someone

the ratio is high, however, if the ratio is low, it indicates that there maybe overstocking, increase in returns or a loss of sales. The Equity Ratio gives
a good indication that the company is performing well if the Debt to Equity Ratio is low. In this case CanGo is not performing at it best because
Amazon's ratio is equal to .44 whilst CanGo's ratio is .67. If there is high Debt to Equity Ratio it means that the company has financed its growth
using debt. Debt can be the result of many factors like borrowed income against stocks or bonds.
The Current Ratio indicates if a company is capable of repaying its debits and liabilities. If the percentage of the ratio is less than 1 it suggests that
the company will not be able to repay its debts, the higher the ratio is above 1, indicates that the company is in good health and will be able to

the most time on was League of legends. Basically there two teams that get to pick from a roster of over 100 champions to fight against each other

Finding the balance is crucial to winning the game. Similarly construction projects in scaffolding want to be completed in a respectable amount of
time. Speed is usually important when it comes to these construction projects, but the workers safety is even more important. Basically you want to get
the job done quickly, but with the least amount of risk to the workers. Kee Safety's Mike Mumau said "the real issue is how do you build something in
a fast, efficient way, and still be profitable without putting the workers at risk." The balance between the two is important for construction projects.
2. Organization – Teams in league of legendsneed to be organized during a match. A team that is organized is more likely to win the game. Deaths
can be avoiding if your team is positioned well on the map. If you shouldn't be there in the first place, why would you go? A teammate that is alone
on a certain part of the map and isn't doing anything that will help the team shouldn't be there. Usually not being grouped with your team will lead to
an easy kill for the enemy team. You want to be in the right places at the right times. It is generally safer when you are with your team instead of
being alone. Organization is also important in the workplace of scaffolding. The highest amount of safety violations happen because of slips, trips, and
falls. It can be avoiding with worksite organization. Specifically tripping can

Competitive gaming, also known as e–sports, is becoming a worldwide phenomenon. With huge events and tournaments that are watched by millions of
passionate fans, many people are beginning to question whether playing video games can be considered a real sport. Even though e–sports may not be
as physically demanding as traditional sports like football and basketball, the structure, strong fan base and the requirements to seriously contend in the

Last October, Riot held the League of Legends Season 2 World Championships, a tournament that brought the world's best teams together for a week

unprecedented cash prizes, the League of Legends tournament was able to bring in over 8 million "unique viewers" online, viewership that is greater
than the National Hockey League's (Heaven and Robinson). In South Korea individual e–sports events for the popular real–time strategy game
StarCraft 2 bring in over 100,000 live attendants to go alongside huge numbers of online spectators (Robinson). On top of this, competitive gaming's
popularity is continuing to grow through 2013. David Ting, founder of Imagine Game Network's professional gaming league, states that online traffic

The latest major Dota 2 tournament was met with a huge reception and the largest prize pool in e–sports history to date. For the developers Valve, the
tournament was a huge success and another stepping stone in e–sports rapid rise towards mainstream popularity and acceptance. However Valve also
made another and no less profound statement of intent with the tournament that marks them as a distinctive force in the e–sports and wider gaming
industry and that is one of emphasising the generative power of play. This statement of intent became clear after a controversial incident occurred
with the Ukrainian team Natus Vincere who employed a strategy that many considered to be a 'bug', 'glitch' or 'exploit', or at least, certainly to an
outsiders view. The strategy in question was the now infamous 'fountain hook' Pudge / Chen combination that utilises a unique ability of the two
champions (Pudges 'Meat Hook' and Chens 'Test of Faith') to create an effectively unstoppable move that pulls an enemy hero into the certain death
of the base fountain if executed correctly. The 'if' word is key here. This was an extremely hard combination to successfully employ that not only
relies on a perfection of team unity in combining moves, but also on a huge level of individual skill on the part of Natus Vincere's 'Dendi' in landing
the initial Meat Hook from Pudge. However for the average spectator, many of whom were from a League of Legends background (1), it looked like an

with the objective of getting to the opposing teams base on the opposite side of the map and destroying it. To get there, they have 3 different lanes they
can run down, and a fourth lane of sorts running down the middle of the field, known as the jungle. This lane connects to the other three, and provides

Early in the game, team members will split up and use certain lanes based off their character abilities and roles set forth in their common usage
and design. For example, someone whose character heals others or can take a lot of damage defensively might pair up with another player whose
abilities mean they need protection early in the game until they level up and gain more power and defense. With this level of teamwork in place,
ideally players would pay attention in the character selection screen and pick a character that fills a role currently needed by the rest of the team.
Unfortunately, just as in real life this does not usually happen, since other people might have their own reasons for playing as a certain avatar. This
extends out on to the playing field, with people wandering the field as they like, leaving their teammates or even entire lanes defenseless and open for
attack. This also makes players more prone to attack from an enemy, and in this game killing someone on the other team leads to a decent amount of
gold and experience for the other team, making them a stronger opponent, a move known as "feeding" the enemy. Sometimes this is all just happening

to interact with the console. Another issue people have with video games being classified as a sport is the mental health issue. They say people
lose a sense of reality. Well this could all be avoid to to one simple task, adequate limits of video gaming. Video games are okay to play, but not
overly excessively. You can take regular breaks like reading, walking, going outside for fresh air, etc. Finally in conclusion, video games should be
recognized as sport since they meet the requirements of other sports, require the skills and also offers scholarship opportunities. Like the statistics show

Clicking sounds... Button mashing... Screaming curse words and bloody murder; while League of Legends seems to be a pointless discourse
community, the modernized game drastically modifies stories of legends. The League of Legends discourse community, proven with Swales' six
characteristics, establishes a foundation for the future success of eSports along with the intercommunication of people around the globe. The
energizing, socializing events take place on a computer screen for approximately 30–40 minutes; nevertheless, the option, to friend another player,
assists in extending that time. Accordingly, the discourse community is captivating, personally, in various ways, such as the mystery of elo, players, and

but it's possible the identity will remain anonymous. The community acts quickly in decision making, including in–game crossroads along with player
personalities. Given that 5 minutes into a game is enough to judge someone, League of Legends seems to be a sensitive discourse community filled

League of Legends is a game created by the industry Riot Games and it's available for free. It's commonly known as a MOBA, or multiplayer online
battle arena. League of Legends has many different aspects of the game that definitely keep it interesting. There are 127 characters that the player may
choose from, although they are all not available at first. Each character has their own set of abilities, which include a passive, three active abilities, and
one ultimate (with a few exceptions). There are different roles in this game as well, which include: Tank, Support, Mage, Marksman, Fighter, and
Assassin. There is a certain Meta that exists in the game as well, which is the normal thing to see in a game. For example, the Meta right now is ... Show

Then there is the game itself, which is also self–changing every couple of weeks or so. These key points help to define the game and give some
consensus about how well the game actually is.
Firstly, there is how the people who play the game treat each other. There are generally two types of players. One of these types of players are the
people who treat everyone with respect and talk nicely about others. The whole point of the game is to have fun and to play the way you want to
play. These are the people who you really should thank when in a game. They will help you to understand the game and give many tips and tricks
on how to play even better. Then you can continue playing with them for even more help if needed. You can even add them to your friends list to just
play a casual game with them. These people are the persons players should look for. There are, however, some people who aren't as great.
People do exist in the game where their only goal is making a player's life a virtual hell. These people are often referred to as "toxic" players. These are
the worst type of people as all they do is make the game non–pleasant. There are many different things they will do to take away the fun. They will
scream at you for every mistake you make, no matter how big. They assist the enemy team to make sure that your team loses. They can even make
players quit the round in the game because they become sick of being harassed. In this game, you will defiantly encounter some of

26. The Demonstration Of Riot Games
The team at Riot wanted to create an online, multiplayer–focused game that would keep growing, changing and evolving indefinitely. And it wanted to
make that game free, funded by optional micro transactions. In 2007, traditional game publishers had barely heard of such a model, much less
considered it viable. Those publishers were not interested in what Riot proposed. Players are given a free game with few limitations and can only
proceed to the next level by playing and learning more about the game. This is reflected in their Revenue Streams. Revenues come from players
wanting to customize their characters and the way they interact with the game, not from selling game power to their players.
The Key Activities at Riot Games is developing games they love to play. They are also focused on continuous improvement of the game. The founders
support their employees at Riot Games to play and learn through gaming themselves. Within two months of launch, League of Legends hit its first
major milestone: 100,000 people playing the game concurrently. In late October of 2009, following six months of beta testing, League of Legends
launched. The game was totally free–to–play, and Riot had ambitious plans to keep updating it, adding to the list of 40 playable champions available at
launch.
Though it had already been alive and at work for a couple of years, Riot in 2008 stepped into public view for the first time. The company announced

When my buddy and I are talking about ganking or getting ganked, we sometimes get weird looks from bystanders that happen to overhear our
usage of the word gank. When we use it, we are not referring to the definition as to rob or to rip off like the definition from etymonline.com states,
but we are using it in reference to the video game discourse community "League of Legends" that we are in. League of Legends is a fast–paced,
competitive, battle arena style online game that matches two teams against each other to obtain objectives and push lanes to destroy the opponent's
base. The main map, or mode, that players participate on is call Summoner's Rift which has two bases across from each other, three individual

If the allied ADC and support are far enough behind the enemy's ADC and support then even if the allied jungler performs a flawless gank the
outcome could be in favor of the enemy where they might not die at all and kill one or more of us. In the same aspect, if the jungler comes in at a
poor angle where they are not trapped or relatively surprised then his gank would be deemed poor even if the allied team got a kill and took some
sort of advantage. Usually those are rare since the majority of poorly executed ganks have an end result in favor of the enemy team and well executed
ones predominantly favor the ally team. To summarize, ganking when done correctly with the use of communication and teamwork, can vitally sway
the outcome of a game with a single play, for either team, giving a possible turn of events. It's a word used commonly throughout the community,

Imagine an enormous arena completely filled with screaming, ecstatic fans cheering for their corresponding teams that have come to compete that

professionals, so they have trained a majority of their lives for this moment, constantly practicing their craft, going over film, and working
alongside their teammates in order to achieve their ultimate goal, winning the championship. This description at first look may seem to be
describing a championship sporting event such as the NBA Finals, the World Series, Stanley Cup Finals or even the World Cup Final. However,
none of these events are what is being depicted. What is actually being illustrated is the finals for numerous Esports competitions such as the
League of Legends World Championship or the StarCraft World Championship Series. Ever since the first invention of video games, there has

the players training days, their type of internal structure, and the structure of their competitions and leagues; but also differ in multiple ways such as
organizations and players have different opportunities to succeed or fail. Physical sports and Esports show to be very similar and vastly different.

To win at League of Legends often means incorporating a set of neoliberal standards into one 's approach to play. League of Legends is normally
categorized generically as an Action RTS (Real–Time
Strategy) or a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). This is a genre distinction created by Riot Games to categorize League of Legends and
similar games. While the game maintains many elements of the RTS genre from which it originates (progression in uninterrupted time as opposed to a
turn–based system, an isometric camera angle, a "point–and–click" movement control scheme, etc.), it differs in that, unlike RTS games like Star Craft
or Age of Empires where players command large numbers of military units, in League of Legends each player controls only one character. These
characters, dubbed winners, according to the game's zestful description, each own diverse abilities and stats that make them unique. The selection of
these characters, known as "champions," that is available for players to choose from now is quite vast. As of this writing, there are 115 champions
available to play, and the 116th playable champion has been announced. Champion concepts are pulled from a variety of sources, but most of them
embody characters from myths, legends, fantasy media, comics, and genre texts around the world. Examples include Gangplank, a pirate; Janna, a
sorceress who commands the weather; Ahri, an anthropomorphized
