2. After the film title analysis I went on to create
the first potential title font for our trailer
using Photoshop
I decided to use the colour black as this colour
is usually represented within the themes
sadness, fear, dark, mystery and it also
attracts the audiences as black is a very bold
colour
The rips in the font connote the slasher genre
as the slashes in the font represent violence
and also give a distorted feel I got inspiration
for the slash marks when I saw the title on the
poster for the film ‘Psycho’
I felt that the white background help the font stand
out the most and the black and white almost gives it
a film noir effect which links with the whole ‘psycho’
film style
TITLE N.1

3. This is the second potential title which I also created on Photoshop.
I once again decided top use black as the colour
for the font as I felt I would contrast well against
the red and it’s a bold and sharp colour which
will attract audiences attention.
To represent that there's violence within this film I
decided to have blood running/pouring through the
font as it connotes murder, death and red the use of
the colour red as it’s the colour of blood also the
colour red represents fear, anger, hate, pain and
these emotion run within our trailer
TITLE N.2
I decided to use white for the background as it helps
make the two bold colours red and black stand out
and I feel it looks more sleek and professional
rather than using grey
For the blood pouring effect it took inspiration from the titles for the
film ‘Suspiria’ as I felt that the blood gives the font a scary and
gruesome effect

4. TITLE N.3
The crack between the font connotes slash from a knife it
also represents murder violence and distortion
To give the title and element of the slasher
genre I decided to make this section red
with blood drips as it connotes murder.
This is the last title I made on Photoshop For this title I decided to use inspiration from the first two titles
and combine them together which resulted into this
The other section is in plain white which stands out against
the black rather well also I chose to keep it a normal plain
colour so the viewer realises that normality will slowly turn
into a bloody nightmare
When I went to show this title to my teacher she mentioned that it didn’t really fit within the
slasher genre I did some research on fonts which had the same style, the films I found were
‘Basket Case’ and ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ these films are not from the slasher genre but
are in the horror/comedy/b-movie genre which means this title could be mistaken for under that
genre instead rather than slasher.

5. TITLE N.4
After taking in the advice on what miss said about title n.4 I decided to
create another title using Photoshop .
The slash running through the title connotes
pain confusion and murder these themes
run within our film and it also adds a sense
of distortion
I chose to have the font in red and
black as these colours are a typical
and traditional choice within the horror
, slasher and thriller genre
Seeing as miss said the font for title n.4
was in the same style as the b-movie
genre I decided to use a cleaner and
sharper font
After creating this title I was on the internet and came across a poster for the
thriller film ‘IDENTITY’ and realised that the title I created resembled to there's
this is problem as our film is a slasher and this film is a thriller and the aim is
for our title is to connote the slasher genre seeing as I liked some of the ideas
I put into this font I am going to create a new title which hopefully will connote
the horror genre .

6. TITLE N.5
This is the final title I created for our film trailer using Photoshop
and it’s the title I'm most pleased with
I chose to use a big bold font to make the words eye
catching also the fact that the words are big and bold
makes it quite over whelming and intimidating I also
chose to make it bold so you can see the
colours/pattern in the font
The use of the red and black are traditional colours used
within the slasher genre I also chose the colours as they
connote a sense of fear, death, pain and anger but also
the red looks like blood splats on the font which fits
within the slasher genre
I put a crack in the font to add that
sense of distortion but also
because I thought It worked well
with the other titles
I took inspiration from the title for the film tormented as I like how
they used a bold font and also made some bits in the font fade
away so that the black came through
