The guys did an outstanding job on that

Subject: Roy Lytle
Good morning, Mr. Stamey. My wife, Leslie, and I are friends of Julie Willingham. We have recently been looking at
improving our home sewer system by installing a new line that would allow us to no longer depend on a faulty sewer tank /
pumping system that was part of the original construction of our home twenty years ago. Last week, I met with Mr. Roy Lytle
to see what was involved and ask questions about this type of project. Mr. Lytle was fantastic. He walked me through the
process and carefully answered my questions in a way that I could understand. We had played "phone tag" for a couple of
days prior to actually meeting, and Mr. Lytle always completed his message with a genuine "if there is ANYTHING I can do to
help you or answer any of your questions, please call me at any time." Upon meeting him, I immediately sensed that he was
very competent, but more importantly, that he was genuinely interested in helping us. He stayed for almost forty-five
minutes, describing the process and answering my questions. When he left, he gave me his business card and once again told
me to call him if I had any questions at all. He assured me that he would pass along his information and paper work to his
immediate supervisor, and that we should hear something soon. I was genuinely impressed with his professionalism and
work ethic.
We have just learned about Mr. Lytle's wife and are very saddened for his loss. At no time while talking with him did he ever
mention his situation, which is understandable. However, he also never seemed to be distracted or less than enthusiastic and
willing to help us in any way. I find it very impressive that he was able to provide the necessary focus and attention to our
needs, when his personal needs were so serious. Mr. Lytle not only represented himself as a true professional, he represented
MSD in a very positive and professional way.
I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation for what he did for us. Learning of his wife's passing has made me wonder if
I would be as good an employee and representative of a company if faced with similar circumstances. Mr. Lytle appears to be
an even better person than he is employee.
Sincerely,
Jeff and Leslie Treadway

45. Dear Mr. Powell,
I am writing to let you know, that once again, I had a very high opinion of your employees and
their work. Last week, Two men from MSD filled two dead sewer lines, one near the gazebo at
the Botanical gardens, and one below Founder’s Drive on the UNCA campus. Unfortunately, I
did not get their names (Lloyd and Dawson). From their initial contact with the garden, to
listening about my concerns for the welfare of the garden, to scheduling (allowing my input),
to completion of the work, they spoke well for your department. Courteous. Respectful.
Competent. Throw in a decent sense of humor. In a culture where it is unfortunately
considered normal to blindly complain about public workers, I thought you would find this
reassuring.
With warm regards,
Jay Kranyik
