1. Remote Cultures
1) Overall Impression of both cultures
Both cultures were both incredibly interesting and also not a considerably large
amount different. Overall it was very interesting to get an insight and see just how
different some people live that what I know to be average.
2) Implications (social, political, legal, religious, economics, others)
The only implications that I see between both of the cultures would be the things
that are more important to us in society in the 21st century. Economically they have
nothing, but simply do not need as much. Although religiously, politically, and legally
they have their own rules or ‘laws’ that apparently seemed to work just fine.
3) How do they compare to yours
Their cultures is incredibly different than mine, and personally I don’t think there
is any comparison at all.
4) Similarities between both cultures
● Honor Code
● Live off the land
● Know each other well
● Religion is extremely important
●
5) How do you think those cultures were created
I believe that those cultures were created as a way to progress as a society and
as a way to better survive. Honestly, they probably started out as a family of few, and
grew and grew until they were not as related to certain people as others were.
6) What would it take to integrate those cultures to ours, should we?
I believe that it would take too much work to integrate cultures, and both cultures
of people seem to live fine and survive where they’re at. If it meant aiding one of the
cultures, being that they were in need, then I would say yes we should integrate them,
but both seem to know exactly what they’re doing where they’re at and know how to live
in said cultures.
