1. Remote Cultures
1) Overall Impression of both cultures
Both were very different than the culture that we live in today.
2) Implications (social, political, legal, religious, economics, others)
The Yanomami tribe did not have a political system and the legal
system there is that if you do something that is wrong they will kill
you. The dancer from West Virginia has the same political system
and is religious but differs a little socially.
3) How do they compare to yours
They are both very different. The Yanomami funeral is much
different. They burn the body and never speak of that person again.
The dancer, they all got drunk and partied, also he treated his wife
much more violently.
4) Similarities between both cultures
They are both somewhat off the track a little.
5) How do you think those cultures were created
I think the people wanted to stay where they were instead of evolving
so the other cultures spread and left.
6) What would it take to integrate those cultures to ours, should we?
It would take a lot of work, to integrate. I don’t think we should, they
want to be left alone, not bothered by outsiders to make them change.
