Brief presentation of the different types of people that help us understand history. It leaves off with the task of identifying how each person helped us learn about the death of Otzi, the Iceman from the Discovery Channel's video: "Iceman: Hunt for a Killer."
3. What Does It Take to Discover the Past?
History is just like a crime
scene on the detective movie
or television show, it takes a
team of people working that
scene, looking for evidence,
and examining it to try and
figure out the most likely story
of what happened
History is not simply a
collection of stories handed
down from generation to
generation, it is the careful
study of those stories along
with the investigation of
various forms of evidence.

9. Iceman:Hunt for a Killer
While watching the video, explain how
each member of “Team History”
contributes to understanding what
happened in the past. Use evidence
from the video to support your
understanding of the work of each
person.
Also, pay attention to how Team
History thinks Otzi died. Write the
story on the back of your paper.
