Year 2 'At Home' sheet.

1. Preschool Year 2
23 March – 2 April
Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 We will be concentrating on shapes for the next couple of weeks. We will
be learning the names of 2D and 3D shapes and looking at the various
shapes we can see in our inside and outside environment.
 As it will soon be Easter we will be having some Easter fun activities. Andy,
with the help if Basil the sheep, will be coming in to tell the children about
the good news of Jesus’s resurrection and we will be having an Easter egg
hunt and an Easter craft.
 In phonics we will be concentrating on the letter sounds ‘c’, ‘k’ and ‘e’.
Talk to your children about any objects you can find that begin with these
letters.
Activities to do at home
 Look for and name any shapes you can find in your house or in the garden.
Make a shape picture with your child eg a rocket or a house made from
different shapes. Please bring them into show us.
Notices
 We break up for the Easter holidays on Thursday 2 April and come back on
Monday 20 April. We hope you all have a lovely and refreshing break.
